French striker Karim Benzema missed Real Madrid's training today, Friday, in preparation for the match against Getafe tomorrow in the eighth round of La Liga.
Benzema missed training to rest, to join the injured duo, who also will not participate in the match against Getafe, Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and midfielder Dani Ceballos.
And after he participated in two matches in just 3 days, after recently recovering from a muscle injury that kept him out of action for 3 weeks, Italian Carlo Ancelotti prefers not to push Benzema against Getafe to rest him.
Ancelotti aims to push Benzema in Warsaw to play Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Tuesday, and to arrive in the Clasico against Barcelona on October 16 in the best condition.
Courtois will miss the third match of the week, as he has not yet recovered from a back injury, in turn, Ceballos has begun to recover from a muscle injury he suffered in the right thigh.
